Papers of Boston lawyer William Minot consist of family correspondence; letterbooks, 1835-39; diaries kept, 1838-66 and while traveling to Europe, 1841; business and investment records, 1867-76; account book, 1860-73; genealogical material; typescript autobiography of Minot and other writings. Some correspondence is written by Minot while he was traveling in Europe, 1837-39. Also includes biblical extracts and diaries, undated, written by, William Minot's wife, Katharine Sedgwick Minot and sketchbooks by an unidentified Minot family member. Correspondents include Alice Woodburne Minot, George Richards Minot, William Minot, Sr., William Minot III, Laurence Minot, Louisa Davis Minot, and Mary Minot.
